Payment methods on your channel

Viewers pay you through Stripe. Which methods they see depends on your region, the viewer’s region/device, and which methods your connected account supports.

What viewers can use

  • Cards everywhere, plus card-backed wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link) on supported devices.
  • Local methods for donations where eligible: MB WAY (PT), Bizum (ES), iDEAL (NL), Bancontact (BE), EPS (AT).

Most of these are requested automatically when your account is created. New methods appear for viewers without any action from you — with one important exception below.

Methods you must activate yourself

Some methods may require you to activate them in your own Stripe (Express) dashboard — the platform requesting them isn’t always enough for dashboard-managed accounts. Bizum is the known case: if your Stripe dashboard shows “Activation by connected account required” for it, open the payment methods settings there and enable it — until then it won’t appear for viewers donating to you. If you don’t see that notice, no action is needed.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay on donations is enabled for you automatically (your channel’s domain is registered behind the scenes). Viewers still need a supported device/browser (Safari + a card in Wallet) for it to appear.
