Channel points
Channel points let your viewers earn a loyalty currency by watching your channel and spend it on rewards you create. See the viewer guide for how earning works.
Turning on points
From Studio → Channel points you can:
- Enable points for your channel.
- Give your points a custom name (e.g. “Gold”, “Gems”) and upload a custom icon.
- Pause / resume redemptions when you need to.
What you control vs. what’s fixed
- You control your reward catalogue and per-reward rules (cost, limits, approval).
- You don’t control the earn rates — how fast viewers earn from watching, the follow bonus, bonus chests, subscriber multipliers, and watch-streak bonuses are all set platform-wide so earning is consistent and fair across channels.
Rewards
Your channel starts with a few built-in rewards (such as highlighting a message, a temporary emote-only unlock, and a stream alert). You can adjust their cost and settings, and add your own custom rewards up to a total of 50.
For each custom reward you can set:
- Title and description, cost, and a background colour.
- Requires approval — send the redemption to your queue instead of fulfilling it instantly.
- Viewer input — ask the viewer to type something, with your own prompt.
- Cooldown between redemptions, a per-stream limit, and a per-viewer limit.
Approving redemptions
Rewards marked requires approval land in your approval queue on the same page. You can accept, reject, or refund each one — rejecting or refunding returns the viewer’s points.
