Clips
Viewers can capture clips of your streams and videos. You can control clipping for your channel — for example, restricting it to subscribers — from your channel settings. Clips appear on your channel’s Clips tab.

Keep your chat healthy with moderators and chat modes.
Moderators & VIPs
Assign trusted users as moderators with /mod <username> — they can time out or ban users and remove messages. Grant loyal viewers VIP with /vip <username>: VIPs get a badge and can chat through slow mode and followers-only mode, but have no moderation powers. Remove either with /unmod / /unvip.
Chat commands
You and your moderators run moderation from the chat box with slash commands — /ban, /timeout, /slow, /followers, /announce, /pin, and more — or with the hover actions (ban / timeout / delete) that appear on each message. Type / to see the full list you can use.
Chat modes
- Subscriber-only (
/subscribers) — only subscribers (and staff) can chat. - Slow mode (
/slow) — enforces a delay between messages. - Followers-only (
/followers) — only followers can chat, optionally after a minimum follow time. - Emote-only (
/emoteonly) — messages must be emotes. - Unique-chat (
/uniquechat) — blocks repeated or copy-pasted messages. - Shield mode — tightens access during raids or spam waves.
Bans & timeouts
Moderators can time out (temporary mute — the viewer keeps watching and sees a countdown) or ban (persistent removal from chat) a user. A ban or timeout also clears that user’s recent messages. Bans are per-channel.
Removing & restoring messages
Deleting a message hides it from viewers (moderators still see it struck through). A deleted message can be restored within about a minute if it was removed by mistake.
Pinned messages
Pin an important message to the top of chat with /pin <message> (or the pin action on a message). There’s one pin at a time, and it clears on a timer (20 minutes by default) or when the stream ends. /unpin removes it.
